BCA GARAGE SALE RESCHEDULED

Because of the weather prediction for wet freezing weather the Berean Christian Academy garage sale scheduled for Saturday, February 13, has been postponed until Saturday, February 27. This will also give us more time to collect more items. Thanks to everyone who has donated items and volunteered to work.

Academy Garage Sale

The annual BCA garage sale will be held on Sat. Feb 13.  If you wish to donate goods for sale or your time, please contact the church office at 972.438.1440.  In addition to fundraising, this event also serves as a great vehicle for local community outreach.

Prayer and Praise

Berean Church was recently blessed with the means and local manpower/expertise to replace a water heater on property.  If you have been to the gym lately, have you noticed the new pilasters?  Along with the new columns, the entrance to the gym is really shaping up!  We are ever grateful for the financial means and expertise among our members that make these things possible.  Should you feel lead to make a special contribution to Berean Church, our property taxes come due at  the end of this month.  Please keep this item in your prayers.

BYC Ice Skating Party

The Berean Youth Clubs annual Ice Skating Party at America’s Ice Garden is scheduled for Jan. 23.  The party is for Youth Club boys and girls ages third grade through high school.  Plan to be at the Berean Gym before 5:30PM as the bus leaves promptly at that time.

Cost is $10 per person, which includes transportation, ice skating, skate rental, and snack.  We return the the gym at approximately 9:45 PM.  Please contact the church office at 972-438-1440 for more information.

Attention All Bereans & Friends!

Come see the new year in with us. Invite your friends and neighbors, bring some finger food, snack or drink and a white elephant gift and join us at 8:30 on New Years Eve night. We are planning a great evening of fellowship. At about 11:30 we will gather for prayer and will welcome in 2010 united in prayer. You will be glad you came!

New Year’s Eve Celebration

The annual new year’s eve celebration begins on Dec. 31 at 8:30 PM in the Berean Gym.  Make sure to bring a while elephant gift and food is always welcome for the snack table!  See you there.

Church Council Meeting and Women’s Fellowship

The Church council meeting is tonight at 7:30PM in the Academy library.  The Friday women’s fellowship meets at the usual place and time.

Christmas Program

The annual Christmas program will be held on Dec. 20 at 6:30 PM in the gym.

BCA in Holiday Parade

The Holiday Parade sponsored by the City of Irving, will begin at 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 5 at Heritage Park, 217 Main Street.  Mrs. Gitchel, our second Grade teacher,  will lead four BCA students to represent Berean Christian Academy.  They will be handing out candy and invitations to the BCA Christmas program.   Please pray that many who receive these invitations will attend the Christmas Program,  hear the Gospel and consider sending their children to BCA next year.  Mrs. Gitchel and Mrs. Flores spent Saturday making the children’s costumes and the decorations for the trikes which they will be riding.  They are amazing!  I hope that a lot of Bereans and friends will be able to attend the parade and cheer when our Berean kids pass by!

Thanksgiving Day

Our special service on Thanksgiving Day was a marvelous time of fellowship and spiritual edification as we expressed our thanks to God.  Thanks to all of you who attended and participated.
