Church Council Meeting
The Church council will meet on April 30 at 7:30 PM in the Academy Building.
Thank you.
Sunday Guest Speakers
On Sunday, we were honored to have Mr. Will Cole from The Gideons speak at the morning service, and Dr. John Niemela taught a lesson from the Gospel of John on Sunday night.
Many thanks to both speakers.
Update From Russ Clowdus
Following is a brief update from Russ Clowdus, a Berean-supported missionary in Austria.
“Here is how I have seen God work recently:
- The follow up ministry to the teenagers had a special emphasis on relationships and understanding God’s best on no sex before marriage.
- The Easter Sermon to the refugees went extremely well. Open reception and good conversations after the message.
- The meetings for the new young leaders concept and summer 2013 follow up ministry concept was another important step in the right direction.”
Here is some additional information from ServeAustria.
Campus Work Day April 13
Berean Christian Academy, Berean Youth Clubs & BereanMemorial Church will be having a much needed Campus Work Day on Saturday, April 13th. We will begin at 8:00 a.m. and secure about noon.
Several easy projects have been selected for this event and a number of indoor projects in case of rain. Helping hands are needed but muscles not required! Students are encouraged to come. Stockade boys and Pilgrim girls will earn extra points and pass at least one achievement. This is a great opportunity for Christian Service. Let the office or Mr. Gitchel know if you are able to attend for planning and supplies.
If you are unable to attend, please consider participating in this endeavor with a financial gift to help pay for materials. Also, please remember to pray for safety, good weather, a good turn-out of workers, and great accomplishment.
“He is not here: for He is risen….” Matthew 28:6a.
Let’s join in fellowship this Sunday to rejoice in the sacrifice and resurrection of our Lord and Savior.
The evening will start off at 6:30 p.m. with a musical celebration followed by a pot luck meal.
“And it came to pass, while be blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. And they worshipped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.” Luke 24:51-53
