The annual Berean Youth Clubs ice skating event at Plaza of the Americas is scheduled for Feb. 18. We depart from the gym at 12:30 PM. There is a $10 fee that covers transportation and pizza after we return. There will be short Bible study in the gym before dismissal. Please contact the church office for more details.

Berean Academy has only two fundraising events every year, the garage sale and Dasharound. This year’s garage sale is in early February, so you are welcome to bring items to either service. Please place objects for sale in either bags or boxes and give to Mr. Gitchell. Pricing suggestions are always welcome.

These events provided a Christmas program to seniors that would have been unable to leave their environment and attend a program.
Instead of a regular evening service, will will have a special holiday service, starting at 6:30 PM. Bring a food dish and prepare for an evening of Christmas Carols, testimonies, and a good meal!
Six boys that qualified by passing all required achievemnts attended the Wreaths Across America event at Oak Grove Cemetary in Irving, last week. The wreaths were placed at the graves of veterans to honor their service and sacrifice. After lunch, the boys spent several hours at the Dallas Zoo.
Christoper Adams spoke once again at the Sunday morning and evening services in place of Pastor Adkins, who is on a well-deserved vacation. Christopher gave an overview of and lessons to be learned from Colossians.
Berean Academy is presenting a program of Christmas Carols at Silverado Senior Center this morning!
As a reminder, today is the first of two Christmas Caroling events for Berean Academy Children. Today, they are at Emeritus Retirement Center, providing a Christmas program for those unable to get outside and enjoy such an event.
The December calendar of events is now online for Berean Academy. Please note that there is no Christmas program this year. Academy students will sing Christmas Carols at two nursing homes to provide a similar experience to those unable to attend an outside Christmas program.
Mr. Gitchell is in the process of organizing a work day to install Christmas decorations in the gym. Stay tuned for an announcement and please contact the church office to indicate your potential days of availability, if interested.
