Berean Church Summer Camp Statement

I have been asked if Berean Memorial  Church recommends a youth summer camp program.  In answer to this question, I am issuing the following statement: (This should not be interpreted as discouraging parents from sending their children to a summer camp.  A summer camp program may be of benefit to children.  Each parent is responsible to investigate and to make their decision before God as to what is good, right and edifying for their children.)

“In 2011 Berean Memorial Church sponsored the last Berean Youth Clubs Summer Camp.  Since then we have not had, nor do we have now, any legal relationship, partnership, recommendation, shared liability, responsibility or endorsement with, or of, any summer camp program.  Anyone using the name, Berean Memorial Church or Berean Youth Clubs in a manner which would imply that such a relationship exists between Berean Memorial Church and any summer camp program is doing so without the consent, endorsement or approval of Berean Memorial Church.”

Pastor of Berean Memorial Church in Irving, Texas

Work Day October 6

Berean Christian Academy, Berean Church, and Berean Youth Clubs are engaging in a combined work day Saturday, October 6 from 8AM to noon.  Several easy projects have been selected for this event, including a number of indoor projects in the event of rain.  Helping hands are needed, but muscles are not required 🙂

Students are encouraged to attend.  Stockade boys and Pilgrim girls will earn extra points and pass at least one achievement for attendance.  This is a great opportunity for Christian Service.

Please contact the church office if you are able to attend so that Mr. Gitchell may plan accordingly.  Thank you.

2012 Summer Camp Cancellation

Dear Bereans,

The Church Council has decided, after much thought, prayer and discussion, that it would be wise to cancel Berean Youth Clubs Summer Camp this year. This was a difficult decision. Upon reviewing all the factors involving staff, facilities, finances and equipment,  it seemed to be the only feasible one.

Thanks to all who have served graciously in this ministry.  Full refunds will be made to parents who have made payments.

In His Service,

Pastor Leon Adkins
